1-Channel HD-CVI Video and Data Over Fiber
The HDCVITR1A03 combines HD-CVI video transmission with a bi-directional data channel, allowing both video and camera control data to travel over a single multimode fiber optic link. A typical installation places the transmitter at the camera location and the receiver at the monitoring or control location.
This makes the system particularly useful for applications where a PTZ camera or other remotely controlled video equipment requires both video transmission and a return data path.
8-Bit HD-CVI Video Transmission
The HDCVITR1A03 supports 8-bit digitally encoded HD-CVI video and is compatible with NTSC, PAL, and SECAM camera systems. The VersiVision HD platform supports optimized optical modules compatible with 1280H/25F, 1280H/30F, 1280H/50F, and 1280H/60F formats.
The video interface supports one channel with a bandwidth of 5 Hz–8 MHz and an 8-bit resolution.
Bi-Directional RS-485 Data
In addition to HD-CVI video, the HDCVITR1A03 supports one channel of bi-directional RS-485 data at data rates up to 300 Kbps. RS-232 and RS-422 are available as optional interfaces.
This provides a fiber-based communication path for applications where cameras or other video equipment require return data, such as PTZ camera control.
Multimode Fiber Transmission Up to 2 km
The HDCVITR1A03 uses a single multimode optical fiber and supports transmission distances of up to 2 km. The datasheet identifies the multimode configuration with an 850/1310nm wavelength and one optical fiber.
Plug-and-Play Installation
The VersiVision HD-CVI platform is designed for plug-and-play, adjustment-free installation. No electrical or optical adjustments are required, while LED indicators provide instant visibility into system operating status.
ST Fiber Connections
The HDCVITR1A03 uses ST optical connectors and BNC video connections. The data interface uses a screw terminal strip. ST-SC adapters are also available for applications using SC fiber connectors.
