1000Base-LX SFP Module for Extended Fiber Networks

The GB10SM SFP module provides a 1000Mbps fiber optic interface for Gigabit Ethernet networks operating at 1310nm. With an LC fiber connector, the module provides flexible connectivity for both multimode and singlemode fiber applications.

For singlemode fiber, the GB10SM supports distances of up to 10 kilometers, making it well suited for extending Gigabit Ethernet networks between buildings, facilities, network rooms, and other locations where copper Ethernet cannot provide the required distance.

Flexible Multimode and Singlemode Fiber Support

One of the advantages of the GB10SM is its flexibility across fiber infrastructures. The VERSITRON datasheet specifies support for:

• 62.5µm multimode fiber: up to 220m
• 50µm multimode fiber: up to 550m
• 9µm singlemode fiber: up to 10km

This makes the GB10SM useful for networks that require a 1310nm Gigabit fiber interface but may have different fiber types within the existing infrastructure.

Industry-Standard Hot-Pluggable SFP
