
The 10 Gigabit media converter is essential for use in high-performance networks that require faster data transmission such as various security and surveillance applications utilizing IP-based cameras as well as data centers, and other mission critical applications.
The device operates by taking cat5/cat6 copper twisted-pair cabling and converting the signals to either Multimode or Singlemode fiber cable through the use of 10G SFP+ modules. Data transmission distances of up to 80km can be achieved.
