1000Base SFP Module for 20km Singlemode Fiber

The VERSITRON GB20SFB is a 1000Base SFP module designed to extend Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over singlemode fiber distances up to 20 kilometers.

The module uses 1550nm for transmission and 1310nm for reception, providing complementary wavelength operation with the GB20SFA. This makes the GB20SFB an effective choice for long-distance Gigabit Ethernet links where a singlemode fiber connection is required.

According to the VERSITRON Fiber Optic SFP Modules datasheet, the GB20SFB provides 1000Mbps operation over 20km of singlemode fiber with an LC connector and is rated for operation from 0°C to 70°C.

Long-Distance 1Gbps Fiber Connectivity

The GB20SFB combines Gigabit Ethernet performance with a 20km singlemode fiber reach, allowing network designers to extend network connectivity beyond the limitations of copper Ethernet.

The VERSITRON datasheet lists both modules as 1000Mbps, 20km singlemode SFPs with LC connectors, with their transmit and receive wavelengths reversed.

For a complementary wavelength connection, install the GB20SFA at one end and GB20SFB at the opposite end of the fiber link.

Industry-Standard SFP Design

The modules also use a Class 1 laser compliant with EN 60825-1.
