Four Channels of Digital Video
The FVMTR4AC3A-C0 provides four channels of 8-bit digitally encoded, uncompressed video over one multimode optical fiber.
The transmitter and receiver are directly compatible with NTSC, PAL, and SECAM camera systems. The video interface uses standard BNC connections, making the system suitable for integrating analog cameras and video equipment into a fiber optic transmission link.
Bidirectional RS-485 Data
In addition to video, the system provides one channel of bidirectional RS-485 data with data rates up to 300 Kbps. RS-232 and RS-422 are available as optional configurations.
The bidirectional data channel can be used for applications requiring serial communication between the camera location and monitoring or control equipment.
Four Channels of Bidirectional Audio
The FVMTR4AC3A-C0 supports four channels of bidirectional audio. Audio is digitally encoded at 24-bit resolution and provides a frequency response of 10 Hz–20 kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 95 dB weighted.
This allows audio signals to travel in both directions over the same fiber connection as the video and data channels.
Four Channels of Bidirectional Contact Closure
The system also provides four channels of bidirectional contact closure, allowing contact-based control or status signals to be transmitted between locations over the fiber link.
The contact-closure interface supports normally open relay contacts rated at 24 VDC, 0.5A or 125 VAC, 0.1A.
