High-Density Fiber Connectivity for Large Networks
The SGX368244M is designed for network environments where a high number of fiber connections must be consolidated into a single managed switching platform.
The switch provides 24 dedicated 100/1G SFP slots for fiber connectivity, along with four SFP/SFP+ slots supporting 1G and 10G modules. Eight additional copper Ethernet ports provide 10/100/1000Base-T connectivity for network devices that require traditional RJ45 connections.
This combination makes the SGX368244M particularly well suited for fiber-rich network aggregation, backbone, telecommunications, surveillance, and other high-density networking applications.
1G and 10G Fiber Uplinks
The four 1G/10G SFP/SFP+ slots provide a flexible path for high-speed backbone connections and future network expansion. The switch supports multimode and single-mode fiber using LC connectors, allowing the fiber infrastructure to be configured according to distance and bandwidth requirements.
VERSITRON offers compatible fiber transceivers for a range of distances. Available Gigabit SFP modules support multimode connections as well as single-mode links extending to 100 km, while available 10G SFP+ modules support distances up to 80 km, depending on the selected module.
598Gbps Switching Capacity
The SGX368244M provides 598Gbps switching capacity and 107.14Mpps forwarding performance, allowing the switch to handle substantial volumes of network traffic across its copper and fiber interfaces.
The switch supports both store-and-forward and cut-through transfer modes, along with a 32MB packet buffer and 32K MAC address table. Jumbo frames up to 9.6K further support efficient transmission of large data packets across high-throughput networks.
