Eight combo ports can operate as either 10/100/1000Base copper ports or 100/1G SFP slots, while sixteen additional slots provide 100/1G SFP connectivity. Four dedicated SFP/SFP+ slots support 1G or 10G connections, making the switch suitable for high-speed backbone and aggregation applications.

Flexible Fiber Connectivity

Supported fiber options include multimode and single-mode configurations using LC connectors. Available VERSITRON SFP modules support a range of transmission distances, including Gigabit single-mode connections extending to 100 km, as well as single-fiber BiDi options up to 80 km.

The switch also supports 10G SFP+ modules for high-speed fiber connections, including multimode options up to 300 meters and single-mode options up to 80 km, depending on the selected transceiver.

128Gbps Switching Capacity

The SGX288164M provides 128Gbps switching capacity and 95Mpps forwarding performance, supporting high-volume data transmission across copper and fiber interfaces.

The switch supports both store-and-forward and cut-through transfer modes, along with a 12MB packet buffer and 16K MAC address table. Jumbo frames up to 9.6K further support networks handling large data transfers.
