The VERSITRON 10GB40SM is a 10Gb Ethernet SFP module designed for high-speed, long-distance fiber optic networking. Operating at a 1550nm wavelength over singlemode fiber, it supports transmission distances of up to 40 kilometers.

This extended reach makes the 10GB40SM particularly useful for connecting network locations that are too far apart for short-reach multimode fiber, while maintaining 10Gbps connectivity over a singlemode fiber infrastructure.
