Compact Managed Gigabit Connectivity
The SG70660M provides managed Ethernet connectivity for networks that need more functionality than a basic unmanaged switch while maintaining a compact form factor.
Five 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 ports support Ethernet devices at 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or Gigabit speeds. A dedicated 100/1000Mbps SFP slot provides fiber-optic connectivity for extending the network beyond the reach of copper Ethernet or connecting to fiber-based network infrastructure.
This combination makes the SG70660M useful for connecting local Ethernet devices while maintaining a fiber-optic path to another network location.
Gigabit Copper Ports with Auto-Negotiation
The five RJ-45 copper ports support 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connectivity with automatic speed and duplex negotiation.
The ports also support auto-MDI/MDI-X detection, allowing the switch to automatically detect the connected cable configuration and adjust the transmit and receive pairs as needed.
Copper Ethernet connections can use Cat5 or higher cabling for 10/100Mbps operation up to 100 meters, while Gigabit connections support Cat5e or higher cabling for distances up to 100 meters.
Fiber Uplink Through a Flexible SFP Port
The SG70660M includes one 100/1000Mbps SFP slot supporting standard SFP transceivers.
The SFP interface supports 1000Base full-duplex operation and can be configured with compatible multimode or single-mode fiber modules according to the network's required transmission distance and fiber type.
VERSITRON's available SFP options provide a broad range of fiber transmission distances.
