Experience VERSITRON'S new FOM II Series F28xxD modems!Like our LAN products, these new FOM II modem products offer the latest and greatest SFP technology, placing them on the cutting edge of fiber to copper conversion. LC connectors are standard on these devices. TheF28xxD converters are available in two protocol versions.
The F280xD series supports RS-232, RS-423, and MIL-STD-118-114A unbalanced, while theF282xDSeries supports RS-530, RS-422, RS-449, V.35, and MIL-STD-188-114A balanced. Both versions are offered in many different configurations to meet a wide variety of f.o. applications and link budgets.
To accomodate quick, low cost system expansion and/or changes,the F28xxDgroup incorporates unique Xilinx programmable FPGA technologies. Sampling rates are optimized to permit higher data speeds. The units also employ a loop-back switch for link trouble-shooting, and LED status indicators. The distance capability of these devices has also been enhanced to 20km.
The modelsF280xD Series supports data rates to 100Kbps in source timing mode and 128Kbps in terminal timing mode. The modelsF282xD Series supports data rates to 1Mbps in source timing mode and 5Mbps in terminal timing mode. (See paragraph 2 for serial data interfaces associated with each series.)
The newF280xDandF282xDFOM II Series products have been designed with flexibility in mind. The devices are 100% compatible with any of the new VERSITRON"Micros"products, thus ensuring seamless connectivity and multiple configuration options in the field.
Need to convert RS-232 to RS-530, or vice versa? Any of the newF280xDandF282xDFOM II Series products can be used as protocol converters. Simply connect the applicable devices via fiber and the conversion is automatic - no switches or settings to deal with. This feature is also functional when using the F280xD or F282xD FOM II Series products with any of the new VERSITRON"Micros", thus further expanding end-user options.
Standalone installation options utilize theHF-1enclosure. Our modelsHF-20Achassis (20 slots) andHF2SS(2 slots) allow for rack-mount installation. Both fit in a standard 19 inch rack. In addition, a full compliment of power supplies, both domestic and international, along with other installation accessories are also offered.
The models F280xD and F282xD FOM II devices are now compatible with theVersimux IIf.o. data/voice multiplexer. The 20-slot Versimux II platform supports copper-to-fiber conversion for any analog phone and any combination of all standard data serial interfaces. Take me to the Versimux II.
