8-Channel AHD Video and Bi-Directional Data Over Fiber

The AHDTR8A03 combines AHD video transmission with a bi-directional data channel, allowing video and camera control data to be transported over fiber optic cable. The installation kit includes the transmitter, receiver, power supplies, and 100 meters of multimode fiber.

A typical VersiVision installation places the transmitter at the camera end of the fiber link and the receiver at the monitoring end. The system uses a single optical fiber for the connection.

Digitally Encoded AHD Video Transmission

The AHDTR8A03 supports 8-bit digitally encoded AHD video and is designed around the VersiVision high-definition fiber optic video platform. The platform supports 1280H/25F, 1280H/30F, 1280H/50F, and 1280H/60F formats and is directly compatible with NTSC, PAL, and SECAM camera systems.

Bi-Directional Camera Data

The data version provides one bi-directional RS-485 data channel with data rates up to 300 Kbps. RS-232 or RS-422 interfaces are available as optional configurations.

This allows compatible camera control or other serial data to travel alongside the AHD video signal over the fiber link.

Multimode Fiber Optic Transmission

The AHDTR8A03 installation kit includes 100 meters of multimode fiber optic cable. The VersiVision technical specifications identify multimode operation at 850/1310nm and use of a single optical fiber.

Plug-and-Play Fiber Video Installation

VersiVision transmitters and receivers are designed for adjustment-free installation and operation. No electrical or optical adjustments are required, and LED indicators provide immediate visibility into system operating status. Units can be installed as standalone devices or in the FVC18 18-slot rack-mount chassis.
