Slide-In Media Converter Modules
- Provide media conversion for TP and fiber optic media types
- 10/100 Mbps modules extend network span from 2km (multimode) to 40km (single mode)
- 1000Mbps modules extend network span from 220m (multimode) to 10km (single mode)
- 10/100Mbps, auto-negotiation on TP port
- Support IEEE 802.3 Ethernet frame 64-1518 bytes and VLAN tagged frame up to 1522 bytes
- Auto MAC address learning and 4,096 MAC address table entries
- Support back-pressure-based flow control on half duplex
- Support pause-frame-based flow control on full duplex
- Store and forward technology
Management
- Provides telnet, SNMP and web browser software over TCP/IP network
- Supports Ipv4, TCP, UDP, ICMP, SNMP, MIB-II, TFTP, Telnet and HTTP protocols
- Provides telnet operation to:
- set and display IP parameters for the system, SNMP parameters for the SNMP agent function
- monitor system fan status and other system information
- monitor installation status of each slot
- monitor configuration and link status of each module installed
- restore default settings for the system
- change administrator password for access control
- update system software
- Provides self-test function each time power is first applied
- Provides IP and SNMP menu for setting system information as requested
- Provides status information of power, fan, CPU and Slots
- Provides update firmware for supported software through TFTP protocol
- Performs graphical user interface as running SNMP management
- Provides standard MIB-II (RFC1213) and private MIB
- SNMP traps are supported by system generated events
