Telephone Multiplexed
Fiber Optic Links

The VERSITRON Versimux multiplexer converts telephone signals on copper wire into light signals for transmission over fiber optic cable.

An exchange side port card (Model MP9701) and a subscriber side port card (Model MP9711) form the basis for this full-duplex, dual-channel fiber link.

Control signals, internal controls, and audio signals are multiplexed (de-multiplexed) by the master multiplexer card into one aggregate signal which is sent /received between Versimux chassis using fiber optic cable.
