PoE Media Converters
PoE media converters convert copper Ethernet signals into fiber optics, simultaneously delivering up to 30W of Power over Ethernet to Powered Devices (PDs) such as IP security cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points and other networking equipment.
Versitron’s PoE fiber media converters are equipped with one RJ45 port that supports 10/100 or 1000Base Gigabit networking speeds. They support both IEEE 802.3af PoE (15.4W of power) and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (30W of power). Their adherence to these standards ensures outstanding performance, particularly in industrial and high-density applications.
Our Power over Ethernet media converters offer a variety of features aimed at simplifying installation and operation. They include support for auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on the copper port (RJ45). Also support Link Fault Pass-through to monitor both the fiber and copper RX port for signal loss. In the event of a loss of RX signal on one media port, the converter will automatically disable the TX signal to the other media port, thereby passing through the link fault.
