These products convert an MIL-STD-188-114A (balanced) electrical signal into light signals for transmission over fiber optic cable. They provide fully transparent operation with data, clock, and common control signals automatically multiplexed.

The F2822D and F2825D FOM II products are additionally compatible with the Versimux II fiber optic data/voice multiplexer. The 20-slot Versimux II platform supports copper-to-fiber conversion for analog phone and any combination of all standard serial data interfaces. RS-232, RS-530, analog phone, RS-422, RS-423, RS-449, V.35 and MIL-STD-188-114A (balanced or unbalanced).
