The PK1DSSF kit provides a turnkey solution for extending a Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) analog phone line over simplex Singlemode fiber. The FXO unit is installed at the PBX (exchange) side of the link and the FXS unit is installed at the telephone (subscriber) side of the link. These Fiber Optic Teledata Modems are also used to extend RS-485 or RS-422 data up to 64Kbps.
