One of VERSITRON'S most popular FOM II type converters is the RS-485 Fiber Optic Telephone Modem--dubbed the TeleData Modem. This modem is capable of converting telephone signals over fiber, or data signals over fiber, or BOTH data and telephone signals over ONE fiber. Applications which are currently enjoying this product's flexibility include data collection points at a petrochemical company, electric power monitoring at a pharmaceutical plant, sensor links for a transit rail system, and several others. Customers not only like the dual capabilities of this product, but also the installation options offered by our 3 styles of chassis and enclosures. These options are particularly popular since they allow customers to accommodate individual installation requirements as they change from site to site.

Another popular FOM II type product is the VERSITRON DS3 interface extender. This fiber converter series provides synchronous, full duplex data transmission at 44.736 mbps at distances to 30 km over multimode or singlemode fiber optic cable with fully transparent operation. High-speed applications for DS3 Interface Extenders include the linking of multiplexers or an ATM input link in a local area network, and the extension of a telephone DS3 point of presence within a campus. To match specific communications link distance requirements, the F2300 group DS3 Interface Extenders are available with multimode LED or single mode laser.

VERSITRON'S LAN networking product line includes the 10/100 "Double Duty" fiber optic media converters, and the 10/100/1000 "Triple Duty" media converters with GBIC technology. A single fiber media converter is available as well as a gigabit converter. Fiber optic switches in a wide array of "flavors" are also available. Choices include: 5 port, 6 port, 8 port, 16/24 port gigabit, and "Pick a Port" modular. Switches offer management and GBIC technology.
